Cannabis Pesticide Testing

Mandatory Pesticide Testing Required

Licenced producers are prohibited from using any additives or unregistered pest control products in the cultivation or production of fresh or dried Cannabis. There are currently 22 registered pesticide products approved for use under the PMRA (Pest Management Regulatory Agency), which contain varying combinations of soaps, salts, sulfur products and fatty acids. To date, there are hundreds of active pesticide compounds that are not approved for use on indoor cannabis crops. The use of any unauthorized pest control product will result in actions such as product recall, the seizure or destruction of crops, and potentially the revocation of your  licence. All Cannabis products intended for sale or provided to any party will require pesticide testing. Eurofins can detect all 96 pesticide actives proposed, and our method has been validated.
